Klingelnberg AG is the parent company of the Klingelnberg Group,
based in Zürich. Klingelnberg is a specialist in gearing technology and provides
machine tools for the manufacture of gears.
For spiral bevel gear production in the automotive industry, the company manufactures
cutting machines, lapping machines, grinding machines, dynamic test machines with
electrical measuring technology and tool grinding machines. For the production of
cylindrical gears in the gear manufacture sector, as well as in the aircraft industry,
Klingelnberg produces profile grinding machines.
Klingelnberg supplies the automotive industry and gear manufacturers worldwide.
Klingelnberg AG has developed from a former business sector of Oerlikon Bürhle AG, an internationally renowned machine tool company. It has owned the Maag gear machine company since 1988. In June 1991 the former Oerlikon Geartec AG became an independent enterprise. Since 1993 it has been part of the Klingelnberg-Group. In April 2004 the Oerlikon Geartec AG was renamed to Klingelnberg AG.
